We have set up a partnership with four other local schools and have clear, shared actions plans. Our partnership work supports strategic commissioning, directional focus and promotes the sharing of good practice between each other.
Our key aim is to raise standards in learning so that all children meet their full potential. Our partnership comprises of the following schools:

Joint Industry Partnership Project Day
On the 18th June around 200 year five children form our Discovery Partnership schools met together at Drighlington Primary school to share an amazing day. They had previously received a "formal" Skype news alert, telling them about a crisis in the South of England, where a tsumani had hit a coastal town causing extensive damage. Children worked in groups to create shelters, provide means for transporting water, and build bridges. The event was supported by our Industry partners through CECA and a number of engineers were at hand to help the children think creatively and solve problems. All children worked co-operatively and behaved incredibly well throughout the event. They learnt a great deal about creative thinking.
